Women's Church Retreats and Christian Conferences

While it is wise to learn from experience, it is wiser to learn from the experiences of others. -- Dr. Rick Warren

Your journey to self acceptance can be an incredible ride! The Word teaches that we are a new creation. We are not the same person we were before we accepted Jesus. The old is gone! The power that raised Jesus from the dead is in each one of us. We have been "made over." Many of us want to believe that, but we need help. These presentations will show you how to live as the new person God intended you to be. We each have that deep desire to be the princess God created us to be--a princess with a renewed mind, spirit and image, but we aren't quite sure how to tap into this gift.

Secondly, God commands us to pass our knowledge onto younger woman (Titus 2:3-5). Be a Titus woman. Teach, train, motivate, and inspire someone younger than you. These presentations will give you the tools to teach younger women to makeover their self worth and face life's challenges.

I. I'm Beautiful? Why Can't ~ Two Complete Sessions

Too many women today look in the mirror and see "repulsive," "fat," "stupid," "unloved" even though friends, family and colleagues have the opposite opinion. If I'm so beautiful, why can't I see it? Deep down each woman wants to take back control of her life. Our foundation for security and success in all areas of our life is in knowing who we are in Jesus Christ. This is where we find our real and true identity. We come to know this by learning what God says about us in the living Bible.

Our foundation for security and success in all areas of our life is in knowing who we are in Jesus Christ. This is where we find our real and true identity. We come to know this by learning what God says about us in the living Bible. That is His Word to us. Once we understand who we are in Jesus Christ, then our mission is to get our mind (first) and actions to line up with God's Word. As we begin the journey to renew our minds into a Christlike mind then we begin to focus on what God thinks about us, and tells us to do, versus focusing on our weaknesses and following what the world says to do.

Kimberly found spiritual restoration and brings a clear message of hope and restoration. God has specific processes for setting people free from negative body image, low self-esteem and emotional eating. Kimberly discusses biblical processes to overcome and take back control.

LORD said to Samuel, "The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." -- 1 Samuel 16:7

II. Breaking Invisible Bonds of the Heart and Mind ~ Three Complete Sessions

Romans 12:2: Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think.

Do you need change in your life? Are you struggling in a relationship, with your self-image or your thought life? Most women find themselves struggling against the need to be perfect, or against the lies about body image, or against the deception of pleasing everybody. The truth will set you free!

No matter what the circumstance, any change in life is accomplished when we change our thinking. To live a life of freedom and joy, our thinking and our heart must line up with God's. Our mind and our heart is the battlefield where the war with the enemy is either won or lost. This powerful message can give you triumphant victory!

In today's world every Christian needs to be knowledgeable about spiritual warfare. Most often we aren't even aware this is happening. Many of us are carrying around invisible bonds and strongholds attached to our heart and mind. We are each in a daily war for our heart and mind and soul. Find out how to recognize damaging thought patterns and stop them from influencing your entire life.

The audience will be given resistance tactics and techniques they can apply immediately in the fight for freedom and joy. In this powerful message, author, speaker and pastor to women, Kimberly Davidson, guides you through an honest self-appraisal. The good news is we each have the power to choose to change our life and thinking today.

III. Why Abba, Why? How Our Spirit Grows Through Pain and Forgiveness ~ Three Complete Sessions

Part 1: When Bad Things Happen To Good People
We all have asked, "Why would a good and loving God allow such bad things to happen?" All people suffer loss in one way or other whether is the death of a loved one, news of a cancer diagnosis, learning your daughter has been raped, or losing a job of ten years. Loss wreaks havoc like a massive flood. We don't deserve pain and suffering, yet God permits it. Being alive means we will endure pain, leaving the landscape of our life changed for ever. We can react with bitterness and pessimism, or learn to recognize that trials have a positive purpose since they teach us to depend on God completely.

Kimberly speaks primarily from the book of Job. The book doesn't provide concrete answers to the problem of pain, but Job emerges as diamond in the rough, a man God selected and shaped for His purposes. The main focus of this message is not on suffering, but on unconquerable faith in God. So many of us are in pain today, and this message will answer some of those tough questions and give the audience encouragement.

Part 2: Climbing Out of the Pit
When we are hit with the unexpected there are emotional stages we will journey through and choices we are forced to make. Some of us get stuck in the anger stage--anger at the person who caused the pain, and even anger at God. We can't get out of the pit. These emotions if not addressed biblically are like caustic acid to our mind, body and spirit. We cannot get out of the pit and heal until we surrender the negativism, address our anger, and stop focusing on the past. This is the focus of this session. It is the only way to grow spiritually.

Part 3: Choosing To Forgive
Anger, revenge and bitterness are normal emotions that often accompany Ger. and loss. If these emotions are not acknowledged, we can be spiritually and emotionally crippled. Forgiveness is a choice--our choice. Many say forgiveness is the hardest call of a Christian. Kimberly answers, How do we begin to forgive when someone does the unforgivable to us? What if it's someone we love and trust? What if it's someone in our own church family, someone who claims to be walking with Christ? Kimberly discusses the four stages we experience as we move from unforgiveness to forgiveness (hurt, hate, heal and hug) and what true biblical forgiveness really encompasses.

Eating Disorders ~

Negative Body Image ~ You Are What You Eat
Eating disorders are an epidemic today. Women and young girls who struggle with an eating disorder will testify to the powerful grip that "Ed" has on them. Malnutrition occurs when we refuse to nourish ourselves properly. Eating disorders are serious and have life-threatening implications. Kimberly knows firsthand what an eating disorder and malnutrition can do to the physical body. Eventually she learned to feed herself a consistent healthy spiritual diet which freed her from the bondage of fear, depression, shame and worthlessness. In this talk, Kimberly guides the audience through four steps to a "nourished" spiritual life: (1) Spend Time With God (2) Prepare For Change (3) Know Who You Are In Christ, and (4) Reflect The Image of God.

Ministering to the Disordered Eater ~ For youth and women ministry leaders

  • 42% of 1st-3rd grade girls want to be thinner
  • 81% of 10-year-olds are afraid of becoming fat

Today EDs are being diagnosed in girls as young as 5 years old and as old as 65 years. Whether we are 5 or 60, we all ask the same question: AM I BEAUTIFUL? We all are searching for significance and want to be validated.

A NIKE AD: One day you're strolling around in the buff and looking the world straight in the eye without as much as a blush. Then wallop! Puberty. Boys. Magazine images. Suddenly the mirror is no longer your friend. So who defined your template of beauty? Who said you weren't okay? Get real. Make your body the best it can be for one person. Yourself. Just do it.

Why children so young? Why anyone? Kimberly will answer those questions and offer hope.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. - 1 Peter 5:10-11
